Report a safeguarding concern

Safeguarding concerns about a child in Hackney must be reported to Hackney Council's Children's Social Care / First Response. HFCC does not investigate concerns, hold case details, or act as a statutory service.

  • Hackney Children's Social Care - contact via the Council's safeguarding / First Response route on hackney.gov.uk.
  • Police - 999 for emergencies, 101 for non-emergencies.
  • NSPCC - national helpline for advice and reporting concerns.

What HFCC cannot do

HFCC cannot receive or investigate safeguarding disclosures, hold confidential case information, or replace Council social work. Please do not share child names or case details through this website, the Ask HFCC assistant, or our contact form.
