What we do

• Skip to main content link at the top of every page.
• Keyboard navigation - all interactive elements work with a keyboard and visible focus rings.
• Semantic HTML - proper headings, landmarks, labels, and ARIA where needed.
• Colour contrast - text and interactive elements are tuned to meet WCAG AA contrast.
• Ask HFCC audio - optional read-aloud with a visible transcript and keyboard fallback.
• Responsive design - works on mobile, tablet, and desktop.

The Ask HFCC assistant offers optional audio using your browser's speech feature. The full answer text is always visible as a transcript, and the listen/stop control is keyboard-accessible. If audio is unavailable in your browser, the text transcript is always available.

Known limitations

• The official HFCC logos are fully embedded across desktop and mobile layouts in their original proportions and colours.
• Some third-party linked sites (Hackney Council, GOV.UK) have their own accessibility arrangements outside our control.
